Using the service
These terms govern use of IPAlive’s website, dynamic DNS service and updater software. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and authorized to manage the devices, networks and endpoints you connect.
Accounts and credentials
Provide an email address you can access and complete required verification. Keep passwords, hostname tokens, browser approval codes and webhook signing keys private. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account and for keeping your devices secure. Contact support@ipalive.link if you suspect unauthorized access.
Hostnames and DNS records
A hostname is a permission to use a name within a service-managed domain, not ownership of that domain. Names are allocated subject to availability, reserved-name rules, account limits and acceptable use. A name already assigned to another account cannot be claimed.
Keep your updater running and use the credential assigned to that host. We retain hostnames and DNS records when check-ins stop; inactivity notifications do not guarantee that a device is reachable. IPAlive may disable or remove records when necessary to address abuse, security threats, legal requirements or service discontinuation.
Dynamic DNS does not bypass carrier-grade NAT, configure port forwarding or open a firewall. You are responsible for the security and availability of any services exposed through your hostname.
Acceptable use
Do not use IPAlive for unlawful activity, phishing, malware distribution, fraud, spam, unauthorized access, attacks or evasion of security controls. Do not impersonate another person, claim names deceptively, bypass quotas or rate limits, probe other users’ credentials, or send webhooks to endpoints you are not authorized to use.
We may restrict requests, suspend accounts or disable affected hosts to investigate or stop abuse. You can contact support to ask for review of an account restriction.
Free and Premium plans
Free accounts currently allow up to 3 hosts on ipalive.link. Premium is planned at USD $24 per year or $3 per month, with 25 hosts and additional domain choices and notification features. Public subscriptions are coming soon; the current site does not offer paid checkout.
Displayed plans describe the current or announced offering. Any future paid subscription will present its price, renewal, cancellation and applicable refund terms before purchase. We will communicate material plan changes before applying them where required.
Updaters, alerts and webhooks
Installing an updater allows it to send authenticated address updates and software status, and to check for and install supported updater releases. Dashboard update commands are handled when the device next checks in. You can stop or remove the updater locally.
Email and webhook delivery depends on network connectivity, provider availability, account settings and sending limits. Delivery can be delayed or fail. These features are operational conveniences and should not be your only monitoring for critical systems. Webhook receivers should verify signatures and handle repeated event IDs safely.
Availability and responsibility
IPAlive is an evolving service provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted DNS updates, instant propagation, guaranteed email delivery or a particular response time. Maintenance, outages and security changes may affect the service. Keep an alternative way to reach important systems.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, IPAlive excludes warranties and liability for indirect or consequential losses, including losses from outages, delayed updates or third-party services. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, warranties or liabilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Privacy, account closure and changes
Our Privacy policy explains how service information is used. You can stop using IPAlive at any time and request account closure at support@ipalive.link. Removing local updater software alone does not close your account.
We may update these terms as the service develops. Updated terms will show a new effective date; we will communicate material changes where appropriate. Questions and abuse reports: support@ipalive.link.
